GREG ODEN: The Oregonian raises an interesting question worth asking---just how much should the Portland Trailblazers pay Greg Oden? Portland has until October 31st to sign Oden to an extension or he becomes a restricted free agent. Blazer fans are split down the middle on this issue. Stay tuned. 

LOLO JONES: A couple days ago Flotrack caught up with Lolo for a quick interview. Jones talks about the ups and downs of last year after the 100H final 2010 USATF Championships.

STEVE NASH: Blogger, Catherine Forsythe, writes that the person Amar'e Stoudemire will miss the most is Mr. Point Guard aka Steve Nash. Agree or disagree?

DONOVAN MCNABB: Andy Reid was recently asked on his trip to visit USA troops in Afghanistan why the Philadelphia Eagles traded McNabb. We'll see if Eagles' management made the right or wrong decision in a couple of months.

YAO MING: The Rocket's center is not giving up on landing a big-name free agent. Yao has been tweeting Chris Bosh, pleading him to come to the H-Town. However, Chris Bosh is expected to sign with the Miami Heat today.

RAY LEWIS: Texans' DE Mario Williams and Ravens' LB Ray Lewis recently presented some high school football kids with an early copy of that Madden NFL 2011. Can I get copy too, Ray?

STEVE NASH: Steve is still having fun covering the World Cup in South Africa, however he's probably a little salty that the PHX Suns didn't try to keep his go-to-guy, Amar'e Stoudemire. Amar'e recently signed with the NY Knicks for 5-years, $100 million. The Knicks' newest member will be trying to recruit Lebron and Wade to join him in the Big Apple. 

LOLO JONES: Runner's Digest is making a regular column for Lolo's entertaining Tweets with "Lolo Jones Tweet of the week."

RAY LEWIS: It's been a year since "Air McNAir" passed away; feels like it was yesterday seeing the pictures of Ray Lewis and other NFL players grieving at Steve's funeral. Fanhouse discuses whether Steve McNair deserves a statue.

BRANDON JENNINGS: Young Buck has another new teammate and his name is Drew Gooden. Milwaukee signed Gooden to a 5-year, $32 million deal last Thursday.

Helio Castroneves: Four Indy 500 checkered flags?

On May 30 you'll get 500 miles of racing. The Indianapolis 500 is the premier event in open-wheel racing, perhaps all of racing. Not only has Helio won it three times already, he's in pole position for this year's race. If he wins his fourth checkered flag at Indy, he'll tie the world record and have achieved the goal years quicker than anyone else.

Helio Castroneves: 2010 Indy 500 champion?

Helio Castroneves has won the Indianapolis 500 three times, and only three men have won it four times: A.J. Foyt, Rick Mears and Al Unser.

If Helio wins again this year he'll be the only driver to win four times in a single decade, at which point you could make a case for the most dominant Indy driver of all-time. It took those other guys like a million years to win four. Plus none of 'em can dance like our guy Helio.

Sao Paulo Indy 300: Inside Helio's garage

Yesterday was the season opener for IndyCar! Our guy Helio Castroneves didn't fare so well, crashing early and finishing ninth, but don't blame it on the fact that before the race he shared a couple quick videos from the Team Penske garage, because I promise you that had nothing to do with his wreck. And even if it did, that's why you watch racing, right? For the wrecks.

Team Penske for IndyCar is Helio Castroneves, Ryan Briscoe and Will Power, who yesssir won yesterday's season-opening race, his first race since breaking his back. Literally. Not figuratively like when you say doing your taxes is back-breaking work. Not the same thing, my friend.

So although our guy Helio didn't fare so well, congratulations to his teammate Will.
