Oregon State fresh off their upset victory of top seeded Washington, faced the Arizona Wildcats in the first game of the semi-finals. Arizona got out to an early lead with a strong team effort paced by Solomon Hill and Jesse Perry. The Beavers of Oregon State responded strongly behind Pac-12 leading scorer Jared Cunningham and big man Devon Collier to take a 7-point lead at halftime.
In the middle of three straight games, the Oregon State players ran out of gas in the 2nd half. Jesse Perry put up a dominant performance in the paint while guard Kyle Fogg terrorized the Beavers from the outside. It was a great run by Oregon State, winning more tournament games then ever before and should come back strong next season.
Kyle Fogg and Jesse Perry share the Playmaker of the game award with their smart play and excellent hustle.
